Skills Provision is searching for an Infrastructure Project Manager to deliver enterprise-level solutions across various IT systems.

The Role

• Management of third-party partners
• Consider the wider needs of the Portfolio and implications on owned projects
• Management of senior stakeholders in conjunction with the Portfolio Manager & teams
• Accountable for successful delivery of project(s) throughout the entire lifecycle
• Ensure projects are set up for success, resourced appropriately and delivered on time, to budget and the agreed level of quality.
• Manage project risks and issues. Where these threaten to derail a project, take ownership and bring the project back on track
• Secure team buy in and ownership of the project plan
• Proactively manage the plan and anticipate risks & project dependencies to delivery
• Manage the project finances, tracking actual spend and forecasting future spend accurately

Requirements

• Educated to Degree level
• Previous management of large projects
• Competent on all related software packages
• Comfortable to manage IT elements of projects
• Tenacious, with the ability to drive through projects to successful and timely completion in a difficult environment
• Very good leadership skills and able to motivate a team of internal & 3rd party project managers
• Substantial project management experience
• Strong planner and with ability to spot links and dependencies
• Comfortable with challenging resource estimates and understanding the necessary detail to support thereafter
